The Ondo State Police Command has announced the death of the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Kajola Police Station, Odigbo Local Government Area, Mr. Nimrod Anaka.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ayanlade Olushola, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday.
“I can confirm that the DPO (Anaka) has died, but it’s only medical expert that can confirm what caused his death.
“His age and indigene will be made known to the public later,” Ayanlade said.
Sources revealed that the senior officer reportedly developed a sudden illness and passed away while being rushed to a hospital on Tuesday. The incident has thrown officers at the station into mourning.
It was further gathered that the remains of the late DPO have been deposited in a mortuary.
