BREAKING: 2025 University admission cut-off mark revealed

University leaders across Nigeria have agreed to set 150 as the minimum qualifying score for admission into universities for the 2025 academic session. The decision was reached during the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) policy meeting held on Tuesday.

With this resolution, candidates who scored below 150 in the 2025 UTME will not be eligible for admission into any university across the country.

However, several institutions, including the University of Ibadan, the University of Lagos, and Pan-Atlantic University, have opted for a higher threshold, pegging their cut-off at 200.

While a few newly licensed private universities had suggested admitting students with UTME scores as low as 120, JAMB’s Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, recommended a general minimum of 160 to maintain quality standards.
