Popular social media activist, Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), following intense public pressure.
Recall that VDM was arrested in Abuja last Friday.
There has been uproar across the nation with Nigeria youths demanding his immediate and unconditional release.
The EFCC confirmed the arrest, stating that VDM’s detention followed several petitions against him.
In an update posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday evening, political activist and journalist, Omoyele Sowore, announced the release, simply stating, “VDM Released.”
