New Council chaired by Godswill Akpabio Rallies Support For Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

The Council is chaired by the President of the Senate, H.E. Senator Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, who serves as its Grand Patron, while Maj. Gen. (Barr.) Garba Audu (rtd) also holds a national leadership role.

A new political movement, the National Council for Presidential Support (NCPS), has been launched to rally nationwide backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his anticipated 2027 re-election bid.

Unveiled in Abuja, the NCPS aims to unify all pro-Tinubu support groups under a single platform to enhance grassroots mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and policy coordination in line with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Hon. Muttaka Ibrahim, National Coordinator of the Council, described the NCPS as a movement committed to ensuring continuity and progress in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

“Our mission is to mobilize national support, coordinate strategic policy implementation, and provide visionary guidance to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election and Nigeria’s continued progress,” Ibrahim said.

The Council is chaired by the President of the Senate, H.E. Senator Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, who serves as its Grand Patron, while Maj. Gen. (Barr.) Garba Audu (rtd) also holds a national leadership role.

In his closing remarks, Ibrahim called on Nigerians to join the movement, saying, “Together, let’s build a brighter future for Nigeria.”
