JUST IN: Aiyedatiwa approves recruitment of 1,100 primary school teachers

In a bid to address critical shortages in public primary schools, Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the employment of 1,100 teachers through the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (ODSUBEB).

The approval follows the completion of the recruitment process and comes shortly after the documentation of over 1,000 new teachers for public secondary schools in the state.

Expressing gratitude to the governor, the Executive Chairman of ODSUBEB, Mr. Victor Olabimtan, noted that the recruitment would help fill existing gaps created by retiring teachers and improve the pupil-teacher ratio in public primary schools.

According to a statement by the board’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Prince Bolu Diesel Ajijo, the newly recruited teachers will enhance the quality of education, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

Documentation for the successful candidates is set to begin this week, with further details on how to check names and complete the process to be released soon.
