A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Olutayo Yomi Victor, also known as Daddy Billions has described those criticizing Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Finance Commissioner, Omowunmi Isaac as political jobbers.
Olutayo in a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday disclosed that the Finance Commissioner had committed no crime as widely reported.
The Chieftain urged the Governor and the Finance Commissioner to remain unpertubed by what he described as baseless allegations orchestrated by "undemocratic elements".
The statement reads, “I read a baseless and politically motivated attacks against the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and the Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Omowunmi Isaac, by a group of individuals whose only objective is to create unnecessary distractions for the government.
“It is evident that these critics are nothing more than political jobbers and undemocratic elements, driven by selfish ambitions rather than the genuine interest of the people. Their desperation to undermine the administration through falsehoods and propaganda further exposes their lack of credibility and sincerity.
“I want to state categorically that the allegations against Governor Aiyedatiwa and Commissioner Omowunmi Isaac hold no merit. This administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and the economic growth of Ondo State.
“No amount of blackmail or smear campaigns by the oppositions will change this fact.
“I urge Governor Aiyedatiwa and Hon. Omowunmi Isaac to remain steadfast and undeterred by these distractions. The people of Ondo State recognize their dedication and remain solidly behind them as they continue to deliver good governance.
