BREAKING: Aiyedatiwa announces key appointments moments after inauguration


Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has made his first set of key appointments shortly after assuming office as the 7th democratically elected Governor of the state on Monday.

In a swift move, the Governor approved the appointment of Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Until his appointment, Dr. Fasoranti, an indigene of Akure South Local Government Area, served as the Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board.

Governor Aiyedatiwa also confirmed the reappointment of Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, alongside Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, who retains her position as Commissioner for Finance.

Additionally, the Governor reappointed several Special Advisers to his cabinet, including:

Engr. Johnson Alabi – Special Adviser on Power

Dr. Seun Osamaye – Special Adviser on Women Affairs

Comrade Bola Taiwo – Special Adviser on Union Matters & Special Duties

Prof. Simidele Odimayo – Special Adviser on Health


In a notable elevation, the Senior Special Assistant on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, has been promoted to the position of Special Adviser in the same capacity.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that all appointments take immediate effect and urged the new appointees to bring efficiency and dedication to their roles in serving the people of Ondo State.

The announcement was made through the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on February 24, 2025.
