Officials from a local government in Ondo State, including the Treasurer and Head of Local Government Administration, have been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over suspected fraudulent activities.
The arrests are said to be related to an alleged fraudulent transaction from 2017.
Sources confirmed that the two officials were taken into custody by the EFCC for further questioning, and they remain in the agency’s custody at the time of the report.
