Atiku sends Christmas greetings, urges sacrifices for national unity

Former Vice President of Nigeria and 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has extended warm Christmas wishes to Nigerians, particularly the Christian community, as they celebrate the 2024 birth of Jesus Christ.

In his message, Atiku encouraged Nigerians to embody the spirit of love, unity, and compassion that defines the Christmas season. He called on citizens to reflect on the importance of selflessness and togetherness during this festive period.

He emphasized the need for gratitude despite the nation’s current challenges, urging Christians to appreciate the opportunity to celebrate another Christmas.

“It is a blessing that we can once again commemorate the birth of Christ, even as we navigate through the difficulties facing our nation,” Atiku said.

The former Vice President also criticized the lack of sacrifice and effective leadership among political leaders, which, he argued, has contributed to the nation’s struggles, including widespread hardship and preventable losses.

Despite these challenges, Atiku called for unity and love, urging Nigerians to stand together to address the root causes of their suffering, particularly poor leadership.

“With love and unity, no obstacle is insurmountable. Let us extend love and joy to everyone around us and remain hopeful for a better future,” he said.

Atiku concluded his message by wishing all Nigerians a joyful and peaceful Christmas, filled with happiness and renewed hope for the days ahead.
