Atiku mourns loss of Shima Ayati

Former Vice President of Nigeria and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Candidate in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of his former aide and long-time political associate, Hon. Shima Ayati.

In a heartfelt tribute, Atiku acknowledged the unwavering loyalty and dedication Ayati, a native of Benue State, showed throughout their years of political collaboration.

"Though Ayati served as an aide during my tenure as Vice President, his commitment extended far beyond that role. He was always ready to support whenever needed, and his loyalty was never in question," Atiku remarked.

Extending his condolences to Ayati's family, friends, and the people of Benue State, Atiku encouraged them to accept the loss as part of God's will. He also prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family and the strength to endure the loss of a beloved father, husband, and friend.

"May the soul of Hon. Shima Ayati find eternal rest," Atiku concluded.
