Aiyedatiwa applauded for signing four Executive Orders

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Agriculture and Agribusiness, Mr. Wemimo Akinsola, has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for signing four Executive Orders designed to foster growth and development in the state.

Speaking to journalists at his office in Alagbaka, Akure, Mr. Akinsola emphasized the importance of the Executive Orders in advancing agriculture, creating employment opportunities for youths, and improving access to land for farming. He noted that the directives would create a more conducive environment for business growth, enhance physical planning processes, and protect property owners across the state.

According to Mr. Akinsola, the new policies will encourage foreign investment in mechanized farming and strengthen agricultural value chains, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to transforming the agricultural sector. He explained that the government intends to acquire land across the state’s three senatorial districts in collaboration with families and host communities. These lands, once properly secured, will be allocated to farmers and investors to maximize their potential for economic growth.

He further highlighted that the Executive Orders would eliminate the problem of land grabbing and other obstacles to land acquisition for agricultural and developmental purposes. These reforms, he said, would not only address land-related challenges but also provide a solid foundation for agribusiness development, offering a mutually beneficial platform for all stakeholders.

Governor Aiyedatiwa’s signing of these orders marks a significant step toward repositioning Ondo State as a hub for agricultural and economic transformation, reflecting the administration’s commitment to sustainable development and progress.
