Ondo govt declares Friday work-free day

In preparation for the upcoming 2024 governorship election in Ondo State, scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Saturday, November 16th, the Ondo State Government has announced that Friday, November 15th, will be observed as a work-free day for public servants across the state.

This decision is intended to provide public sector employees ample time to travel to their respective communities and participate in the voting process.

The government encouraged all eligible citizens to take advantage of this break to fulfill their civic duties and contribute to a smooth and fair election process.

The directive has been communicated to all accounting officers, who are expected to ensure that the information is disseminated to all staff members across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
