Certificate of Return: FIDA congratulates Aiyedatiwa


The Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has extended heartfelt congratulations to the governor  of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on receiving their Certificates of Return.  

In a statement, theOndo State Branch of FIDA, Barrister Catherine Olajumoke Ogunjebi, described the milestone as a commendable achievement.

Ogunjebi expressed  FIDA's collective delight at the governor’s successful navigation of the electoral process.

She highlighted the governor’s  humility and patience as instrumental in ensuring a smooth and peaceful election, which she called  a victory for all.  

The FIDA Chairperson also lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner for Ondo State, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola, for her resilience and steadfastness throughout the process.

She further appreciated stakeholders and leaders for promoting issue-based campaigns and fostering a peaceful electoral environment, which she noted was unprecedented in the state.  

Ogunjebi emphasized that the renewed mandate would signify continuity, inclusive governance, and the promise of impactful policies that would benefit all citizens.

She praised the governor’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the people.  

Ogunjebi expressed optimism for women's progress under the governor’s  leadership, assuring that women could look forward to increased opportunities to serve in dignified and impactful roles, as evidenced by his past support for gender inclusion.  

The chairperson, therefore, called on women to continue supporting the Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, emphasizing that the new era would hold great promise for everyone.
