Woman docked for allegedly fraudulently obtaining drugs worth N2m

One Medicine’s store dealer, Blessing Oladosu, 39, was on Friday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly, fraudulently obtaining pharmaceutical drugs worth N2,122,340.

Oladosu whose residential address was not provided was charged with Obtaining Money Under False Pretence.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Seye Akinola, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on Sept. 30, at 12noon at Cure Remedy Pharmaceutical Ltd., at Adado junction, Ashi, Ibadan.

Akinola also alleged that Oladosu fraudulently issued dud sterling bank cheque to the store which was dishonored when presented for payment at the bank, due to insufficient funds in the account.

He said the offence contravened Section 419 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case until Dec. 13 for hearing. (NAN)
