The Ondo State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has announced date for its organised Sunshine State Marathon.
According to the ministry, the registration for the programme which is slated for October 13, 2023, will end on September 23, 2023.
Registration fees for the programme which welcomes athletes across the state was pegged at the sum of twenty thousand naira (#20,000), with the winner going home with 1 million naira.
The second runner-up will get five hundred thousand naira while the third place will get two hundred thousand as a grand prize.
The event will hold at the state stadium in Akure, the State Capital.
Speaking on event, the Convener, Benjamin Oladele urged residents of the state to embrace the iniative by registering for event.
He added that the marathon is aimed at placing the state on the pedestal of progress.
