The member representing Okitipupa Constituency I at Ondo State House of Assembly, Chris Ayebusiwa, has announced donation of free reading and writing materials for public primary school pupils in his Constituency.
The lawmaker announced the donation which he tagged 'Back to School' on Monday in a statement he personally signed and released on his Facebook page
According to Hon Ayebusiwa, the programme is targeted at pupils of public primary schools within Okitipupa Constituency I.
The statement reads: "As pupils prepare for resumption for new academic session, we realise how much it costs parents and guardians to bear the cost of tuition and sundry learning materials. We feel obligated to make material donations to pupils, no matter how little, particularly for the indigent ones.
"The programme through which we shall donate reading and writing materials targets pupils in public primary schools within Okitipupa Constituency I.
Chris, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Tertiary Institutions at the House of Assembly, charged the school administrators to give necessary support to the project for ease of distribution, saying: " We implore the administrators of concerned schools to give those delegated with the task of distribution the necessary support."
