The member representing Okitipupa Constituency I in the 10th Ondo State House of Assembly, Chris Ayebusiwa, has been described as a representative with a clear vision.
Hon Ayebusiwa was so described by the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Okitipupa Constituency I Quiz Competition, Dr Edamisan Ikuemonisan, in his opening remarks.
Dr Ikuemonisan said this is not the first time Okitipupa Constituency I will have a representative at the State House of Assembly but that Chris Ayebusiwa is starting big and proving that
he has a clear vision and the interest of the people at heart.
According to him, "This is not the first time we are having a State House of Assembly Representative. By his early strides, Hon Chris Ayebusiwa is starting big and proving that he has a clear vision and the interest of the people at heart.
He also charged the students to be good ambassadors of the constituency and let their brilliant performances be the selling points for public schools. The University Lecturer encouraged the students to prioritize achievement, which he said was defined by President Barrack Obama to mean the impact one makes on people.
Meanwhile, there was wild jubilation amongst public secondary school students in Okitipupa as Chris Ayebusiwa, gave out cash Prizes to the best three students in the maiden constituency quiz competition.
Ayebusiwa had in the first week of June, 2023, announced the plan to organize the very first edition of the Constituency Quiz Competition for secondary schools in the constituency.
Community Grammar School, Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government came First while Manuwa Memorial Grammar School, Iju-Odo, Okitipupa Local Government, came Second, and Comprehensive Secondary School, Ilutitun, got the third position.
Cash prizes of N200, 000.00, 150,000.00 and 100.000,00 have been given to the best three students respectively.
Hon Ayebusiwa promised who promised that the programme will continue throughout his tenure, thanked the organising committee, parents and guardians, the school principals and his team for doing a good job.
He said, "This programme will be sustained, God willing, throughout this tenure, as one important annual event for promoting literacy and reviving reading culture among youths in the constituency.
"I thank, most sincerely, the Organising Committee under the leadership of Dr Edamisan Ikuemonisan. I have deep gratitude to express to school principals, teachers, parents and guardians for their contributions, and my team of industrious aides for doing a good job. May God bless our constituency."
