Covid-19 kills Chief Rotimi Williams' son, Ladi - Featured Trending Popular Viral News

Oladipupo Williams, first child of the late legal luminary Rotimi Williams, is dead.

Both Oladipupo, or, Ladi as he was popularly known, and late dad Frederick Rotimi Williams, were Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

According to a Facebook post by his son, Kunle, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria died early Sunday morning at 3AM from complications of COVID-19. He was 74.

“My father passed away this morning from COVID despite being double vaccinated with Oxford AstraZeneca,” Kunle said on his Facebook page.

The younger Williams’ death was also confirmed by his younger brother, Kayode Rotimi-Williams, according to Vanguard Newspapers.

The president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata, has expressed his sadness over the deathi.

In a telephone interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Akpata described the SAN’s death as “a personal loss” to him and his family.

“I am totally devastated by the news. Chief Williams was a big brother and mentor to many of us. I wish the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss,” the NBA president said.

Mr. Williamsi was called to the Nigerian bar about 48 years ago and he became a SAN in 1995.

He was a principal partner at the Chief Ladi Rotimi-Williams Chambers (CLRWC), a Nigerian law firm based in Lagos.

He founded the law firm to provide a variety of high quality legal services to individuals, private corporations and public sector organisations.

The senior lawyer was regarded as one of the top 100 senior advocates in the country with expertise in litigation and commercial law
