SERAP Demands Nigerian Government Release June 12 Protesters ,Threatens Legal Action

Socio-Economic Rights And Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged the Nigerian government to release people who have been arrested for joining the June 12 protests holding today.

247NNU had severally reported that on Democracy Day (today) there will be protests holding across the nation in agitation against insecurity and bad governance.

This morning protesters in Lagos and Abuja were attacked and some arrested, similar to the modus operandi the Nigeria police employed in previous protests.
