An explosion has rocked a part of the popular Mile 3 Market located along the Ikwerre Road in Port Harcourt Area of Rivers State.
The incident occurred around 6:30 am on Monday, within the mile 3 motor park.
It was gathered that no life was lost in the explosion, but that it left many persons injured.
A source who spoke with Vanguard narrated that the explosion caused panic in the market as traders and commuters scampered for safety.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, said the police were going to the area to ascertain what happened.
This comes barely three months after an inferno razed a part of the market.
