Melania Trump sparks divorce rumours as Donald’s niece claims he 'doesn’t understand intimacy'

A stony-faced picture of Melania Trump touching down in Florida after her husband was relinquished of his presidential duties has sparked rumours of divorce as Donald Trump’s niece claims he doesn’t understand "intimacy."

The appearance sparked rumours there may be trouble ahead for the couple, with many speculating divorce could be on the cards.

Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, told the Sunday Telegraph she believes he does love Melania but the pair do not understand each other.

She claims her uncle doesn’t "understand affection" or "intimacy" and that may play a part in the seemingly cold marriage.

Mary told the Sunday Telegraph: "I don’t believe he understands affection or intimacy."

She added that the "damage" Donald did to the US is "incalculable" and said the country is waiting to "find out how much is irreparable."

In July 2020, Mary published a book about Donald, "Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World´s Most Dangerous Man."

Her scathing comments come as CNN reported the former First Lady "slept in separate rooms" in the days before the couple "checked out" of the White House.

She was described by sources as "not sad to be leaving" the White House and Washington and just wanted to "go home."

A source told CNN: "Donald Trump slept in his own bedroom, which was previously a study or den during other administrations."
