FUTA deputy registrar, his driver, one other shot on Osogbo expressway

A deputy registrar in the Federal University of Technology,  Akure, Ondo State, Dr Amos Arijesuyo, has been reportedly shot by gunmen in the Iwaraja end of the Ilesa- Akure Expressway in Osun State.

Arijesuyo, who worked at the Guildance and Counselling section of the Students Affairs Department of the university was said to have been attacked on Saturday by the gunmen alongside his driver and one unidentified person.

It was gathered that the deceased was also a senior Pastor at the Christ Apostolic Church, Glory of God, FUTA.

A pastor of the church, Pastor Olu Aladesanmi, who confirmed the incident, said it happened between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday.

He said, “The pastor and his driver are fortunate to have survived the attack with bullet injuries. They are receiving treatment at hospital.”
