Oprah Winfrey's Christian Louboutin shoes sell for $16,601

A pair of silver Louboutins belonging to Oprah Winfrey have sold for $16,601. The former talk show legend, known for her passion and commitment for women's education teamed up with Melbourne-based charity One Girl to raise money for the cause. The money from the sale goes to the charity for their Do It In A Dress initiative, aiming to provide education to one million girls across Africa by 2020 - a cause very close to Oprah's heart. The pair of silver fish scale Christian Loboutin shoes autographed by Oprah sold for $16,601 on ebay.

The talk show queen famously launched her own Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, just outside Johannesburg, South Africa in 2007. Her first class of high school students, a group of 72, graduated in 2012.
